For the first two years this bio contained absolutely nothing, but my journal was public, so there wasn't a point. For the past three years, it's contained a list of increasingly outdated thoughts. I've meant to change it for the longest time, although I wasn't sure what to change it to. I asked my LJ Friends List and the most common response was simply "whore". Which is fair. I say whore an awful lot. It's just such a lovely multi-purpose word; a curse and a complement all in one. And I think that concept pretty much sums me up.

My journal is "friends only" just to give me a degree of separation from the world at large. I'm not hiding anything really, just paying closer attention to who is reading what I write. I friend people often, mostly because I think they're funny. I love to laugh, and to me life is about surrounding yourself with people and things that make you happy. I check my userinfo regularly and usually just add anyone who has added me. I never defriend anyone unless they defriend me first. If someone has defriended me, I'm generally very open to refriending with limited exceptions. I don't hold grudges.

I post often and irreverently. Usually about cleaning or my kids or sewing or home improvement, just about life. Lots of pictures. I try to keep a sense of humor about all of it. I appreciate people who do the same. The worst thing I feel someone can do is to take herself too seriously. I speak my mind, typically regardless of the consequences. Honestly, I appreciate those who do the same.

The qualities I look most for in friends are people who are strong and who know who they are. People who can accept criticism as well as compliments. People who are not fragile and who like who they are, and are willing to do the work to change the things they don't. I respect hard workers and don't appreciate those who choose the easy way out.

I'm obsessed with fashion and most of the trappings of girlyness. Dichotomously, I also constantly delve into ambitious projects with power tools. Often drunk. I was practically born in heels (my mother still occasionally complains about the damage to her womb). I never met a scarf or bottle of nail polish I didn't like. On a scale of 1 to 10, my preferred level of accessory density is "crash between two gypsy caravans". I sew most of the clothes I wear, and that includes a disproportionately large percentage of costumes and corsets. I have an opinion on EVERYTHING and I'm not shy about sharing it.

Your UP TO THE MINUTE update:
Right now I am in this transitional period of feeling like life is in the journey and hopeless amounts of wanderlust. Feeling like everything is possible if only I can figure out how to pay for it all.

AND - I RENTED A FUCKING FARM!!! And got a robot tattoo. Life is just this big long string of awesome and win. And tentacle rape, but I'm trying not to dwell on that bit.
